In a Hackaday report dated October 7, 2026, Jenny List presents Levente Szabadkai’s reconstruction of the Commodore 64 keyboard lettering. Szabadkai traced the design from photographs and released it as a vector font in several formats through GitHub: https://github.com/szabadkai/c64-keyboard-font/
The font contains uppercase letters, punctuation and other marks, all PETSCII glyphs, and the function keys. It also includes the Commodore logo. The original C64 keyboard had no lowercase letters, so the typeface remains uppercase-only. Users may need to assemble the CLR HOME legend themselves.
The published cursor arrows are solid. The C64 shown by the author has outlined arrows, and the difference may reflect variations between hardware models.
