Vite+ is now available in beta as an open-source, framework-agnostic toolchain under the MIT license. It serves as a single entry point for web development by unifying the runtime, package manager, and a suite of tools including Vite 8, Vitest, Rolldown, tsdown, Oxlint, and Oxfmt. The system is designed to work across various project types, from libraries and CLIs to full web applications.

The toolchain introduces a consistent set of CLI commands to replace fragmented workflows. Developers can use 'vp dev' and 'vp build' for Vite 8 operations, 'vp test' for unit testing via Vitest, and 'vp pack' for bundling libraries with tsdown. Additional commands like 'vp check' combine formatting, linting, and type checking, while 'vp run' provides a monorepo-aware task runner with intelligent caching.

Since its alpha phase, the project has seen significant development with over 500 pull requests and 180 fixes. Key improvements include smarter caching that tracks data automatically, enhanced migration capabilities via 'vp migrate', and enterprise-ready features such as organization templates and support for corporate proxies and custom CAs.

The beta release arrives as the underlying tools have also evolved; for instance, Vite 8.1 introduced experimental full bundle mode, Rolldown reached version 1.0, and Oxlint added React Compiler lint rules. The toolchain has already gained traction in over 1,300 public repositories, including projects like Dify, BlockNote, and critical.
