The Daily WTF's Error'd column, written by Lyle Seaman, once again gathers reader-submitted screenshots of software behaving badly.
This week's crop opens with a wild-caught ad whose jackpot displays an absurd string of zeroes, followed by a SignUpGenius dialog suggesting that SUCCESS is merely an illusion. JustWatch is caught being suddenly precious about its sources, and a crash screen involving boots has a developer's PII clumsily redacted — while the underlying PHP remains plainly visible.
The closing entry targets The Register: after 30-plus years in business, its code should be mature, yet its SQL at theregister.com/week appears to randomly return duplicate records. The author dryly notes he would be happy to see Error'd appear on El Reg — or at least grouchy in a new way.
