The Daily WTF's Error'd column rounded up a set of reader-submitted time-handling failures, framed as evidence that time-traveling software is alive and well.
One reader received an email from OnePlus informing him that the planned delivery date for his order had been updated to "Yesterday" — likely a timezone mismatch between two systems, but still a wtf. Another screenshot from the community site Fetlife appeared to show a member who posted a profile photo an hour before joining.
Eric P. shared a 2023 photo of his 2008 Ford's dashboard, which had jumped exactly 1024 weeks into the past — a classic GPS date rollover bug, with no firmware update, no manual date setting, and no way to hide the display. Marc Würth's Netvibes dashboard briefly reported crawling stats from 261 years ago while fetching a new RSS feed.
The standout came from an anonymous reader whose parcel-tracking notification claimed two deliveries had arrived prior to the Roman conquest of Britain, while the combined notification's date calculation failed outright and fell back to the Unix epoch — January 1, 1970.
