Artmuseum.artfrompixels.com presents art history as a browser-based 3D museum assembled from Wikipedia material. Its timeline groups the collection by periods and schools. The visible sequence includes Chinese Painting (950-1950), Persian Miniature (1300-1700), Japanese Painting (1400-1900), Cretan School (1450-1700), Indian Painting (1550-1950), and Ukiyo-e (1670-1900).
Other entries run from Medieval & Gothic, Early Renaissance, Northern Renaissance, High Renaissance, Mannerism, Colonial Latin American Painting and Dutch Golden Age through Baroque, Rococo, Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Hudson River School, Academic Art, Realism, Pre-Raphaelites, Impressionism, Symbolism & Art Nouveau, Post-Impressionism, Fauvism, Expressionism, Cubism, Abstract Art, Group of Seven, American Modernism, Mexican Muralism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Contemporary and Pop Art. The list continues.
Visitors scroll or pinch through time, drag to pan, and select a period by clicking or tapping it. Choosing an artist opens “Enter the Gallery”, where visitors can move through a 3D display of that artist’s works. Tab supports browsing. The interface also includes Gallery Wall, Star Map, Featured and All artists, plus an Explore guide called “How to explore”.
