Gina P. Banyard has opened voting on the RFC proposing a set of deprecations for PHP 8.6, following an announcement made the previous week on the internals mailing list.
The RFC is documented on the PHP wiki under the deprecations_php_8_6 page.
The voting period lasts two weeks and ends automatically on 10 August 2026 at 13:00:00 UTC.
Because the wiki's voting system supports only one open vote question at a time, each vote must be submitted individually.
