Node.js v26.5.0 Released
Node.js 26.5.0 is now available.

Released on July 8, 2026, Node.js v26.5.0 brings several new features and technical changes. Highlights include blob.textStream() for buffers, a new --experimental-import-text flag for ESM, and ReadableStreamTee for streams. The release also adds reporting of negotiated TLS groups and per-event-loop-iteration sampling for perf_hooks.
It also updates core dependencies, including undici to 8.7.0, nghttp3 to 1.17.0, and sqlite to 3.53.3. Other changes affect the build system, such as Maglev support for riscv64 and fixes for Windows and crypto validation.
