Hugging Face's CEO on why companies are done renting their AI

Hugging Face has evolved into a central hub for the AI community—similar to GitHub—enabling developers to share and access datasets and models. This infrastructure is currently utilized by approximately 50% of Fortune 500 companies.
Speaking on the TechCrunch Equity podcast, Delangue expressed concerns regarding the concentration of power within a few dominant corporations. He argues that open-source accessibility is critical to prevent a small number of entities from exercising total control over AI infrastructure.
