The NativePHP team has built a proof-of-concept macOS app with a fully native UI, entirely driven by PHP instead of Electron, Tauri or a web view. A new extension called SuperNative compiles PHP into a custom binary format embedded directly in a Swift shell, delivering microsecond UI round-trips in a 24MB app running full Laravel.
