Apple sues OpenAI over alleged trade secret theft

Apple has filed a lawsuit accusing OpenAI of stealing hardware trade secrets and breaching contracts, alleging that former Apple employees retained access to confidential material after joining the company. The complaint says internal Apple files were downloaded after a security flaw was found, and it also targets OpenAI hardware chief Tang Tan over alleged misuse of Apple code names and hiring practices.
